Design District BV is the organiser of the annual event Design District and owner of the website www.designdistrict.nl. Design District is an event where participants (exhibitors) show their products and various parties (including sectorial organisations) give lectures.
To apply for entrance tickets, attend lectures or register for the newsletter, you are requested to fill out some information. With this Privacy statement, Design District BV wishes to create clarity about what it does with this information.
When you register for the event Design District, your contact data is used by Design District BV to confirm your registration and to provide information about the event. Design District BV does not share your data with third parties, unless:
1. You have made use of an invitation/registration link of an exhibitor. In that case we will share the data with the relevant exhibitor.
2. You indicate that you wish to receive information regarding one or more lectures at Design District. In that case, we will share the data with the relevant organiser of the lecture, exclusively to provide you with information about the lecture in case.
3. Your personal entrance badge is scanned by an exhibitor at the fair. Then we will share your data with the relevant exhibitor.
The sharing of this data is done to better respond to the need of information of exhibitors and visitors. Afterwards, the use of this registration data is subject to the privacy policy of this partner or exhibitor.
FOR WHAT PURPOSES IS YOUR DATA PROCESSED?
The data you provide us with is used by Design District BV for the implementation of products or services selected by you, such as the forwarding of entrance vouchers, fair programs, or newsletters. We also use the data to acquire an accurate picture of the visitors’ target group of Design District. In conclusion, we will be able to contact you in the rare event something went wrong with your registration or calamities during the event.
HOW DO WE COLLECT YOUR DATA?
Besides the data provided by you personally, data is also collected during your visit of our events or our website www.designdistrict.nl. We do this to be able to align Design District as much as possible with the preferences of our visitors and to provide you with relevant information. We collect, for example, data when you have your badge scanned or you register for more information at a lecture.
REQUIRED DATA
Without the required personal data we cannot and will not send you an entrance or discount voucher for Design District. For the validity of the voucher, it is important we are in possession of the data entered until the implementation of the event. To visit the event without submitting your data, you can buy a ticket at the entrance. We cannot send you a newsletter without an e-mail address.

Design District BV collects general visitor data through its websites. This regards, for example, the number of visitors and the number of clicks on a certain page.
