Linda Nieuwstad creates gigantic handmade flowers and flower still lifes. Her sculptures are so large that you can walk around in them as if you have stepped into a painted flower still life from the Golden Age. At Design District 2023 Linda will show a new project entitled: “Flower your skin”. “In at a time when 'being allowed to be different' is getting a lot of attention, it's time to give my flowers their own identity. This year I will be making a series of wild hyacinths that show a wide diversity in fabric expression, material and cultural print. "
